Chocolate Hills Tour of Bohol is possibly the biggest tourist attraction for visitors to Bohol and Panglao island. Many visitors staying at Alona Beach attend the famous Chocolate Hills tour to see this natural wonder. Although the Chocolate Hills themselves are stunning to behold, there is a lot more to the tour, as my video shows here. Among others, the tour usually includes a visit to the Loboc River to enjoy a delicious lunch buffet, a visit to the Tarsier sanctuary to see the smallest primates in the world, and a wonderful final stop at the twin hanging bamboo bridges of Sevilla. The man-made forest was a spectacular dense canopy of mahogany trees, but without a guide, we didn't learn much about how this project began or why so many trees were planted at this location.

The day long Chocolate Hills tour includes other events, including a visit to Baclayon Church and a stop off at the butterfly and python sanctuary, which you can view on my previous video HERE:

There were various opportunities to buy locally made souvenirs which make lovely presents to bring back home to the family. My favourite spots to pick up souvenirs were the stalls set up at Loboc River Cruise, and also the stalls located at the Hanging Bamboo Bridges of Sevilla. The tour includes stops to the python sanctuary and the tarsier/zoological enclosure. I felt sad for some of the animals, and have mixed feelings about whether these should be included as part of the popular Chocolate Hills tour. My favourite moments of the tour were the Bamboo Twin Hanging Bridges, and the Loboc River Cruise. The total cost for the entire tour was around 1,300 PHP ($25), including the driver fee and all the additional entrance fees to each activity. This was my second time doing this tour, and I noticed that each company varies the order in which places are visited. For example, on my first tour, we visited the Chocolate Hills earlier, and the Loboc River Cruise was at the end of the tour, so our meal was supper rather than lunch.

I highly recommend visiting the Chocolate Hills tour to see what you're missing!
