I had a dream to travel long term last couple of years, and back then I was frustrated about the cost of traveling for a long time. It may seem to be very expensive to travel non-stop - try searching "daily travel budget in Asia" and it may look terrifying when you scale in to one year of traveling. Though if you have a closer look and spend some time on asking right questions, you will see another possibility - traveling on a budget.

There is a lot to say about that, and in this video I share some basic thoughts on long term traveling in 2020. Here's a shortlist of them:
- traveling can cost as much or as little you want it to be;
- if you travel on a budget, you better know what you spend money on;
- it's okay to go over budget, then you just balance the things by spending less;
- and lastly, while traveling long term, time and money are interchangeable resources (that's a huge topic, I will make another video only about that).

Hope that it was useful (or at least entertaining!) to watch this video, especially if you were planning long term travel for yourself.

----------
Total cost for this day:
Hostel dorm room - 99 baht (Mapping hostel in Chiang Mai)
Breakfast (bought groceries at local Thai supermarket) - 20 baht.
Thai street food lunch - 25 baht
Water at 7/11 - 6 baht
Thai tea - 80 baht
Pad Thai at Somtum Der Chiang Mai - 215 baht
Songthaew (Chiang Mai local bus) - 30 baht

Totally 475 baht (about $14.5) for the day.

PS: traveling in the coronavirus world isn't the best idea, as it causes A LOT of inconveniences. Though it the current situation won't last forever! You guys have a nice opportunity to spend more time on planning the travel and getting more info instead just leaving into the unknown!
