This video is about How To Get To Ninh Binh, Vietnam & Where To Stay.

The Link to the inexpensive luxury van that I took to Ninh Binh. I honestly think it is the best way to get there from Hanoi and back, check it out:

Ninh Binh, Vietnam
What to Do / Where to Go:
-Check out Mua Caves in the morning before noon to try to avoid the peak of the heat as well as the peak of the tour groups when they usually arrive from the early afternoon until the end of the day. It gets crowded and is less enjoyable with the rowdy and obnoxious groups of tourist, even though you are tourist yourself, it is more pleasant to enjoy with less noise from crowds of people.

How to Get There:
-Take the luxury bus for $9 per trip rather than the bus double the price, not only is it an hour faster taking you to Hanoi in just 2 hours, but it is a lot cleaner, convenient as it drops you off at your hotel or nearby rather than the city center, and it is an overall better service than the other ones that I've found.

Where to Stay:
*Don’t stay in the city itself known as Ninh Binh, stay at Tam Coc, which is the epicenter where all of the main touristy sights that you came to see will be generally around. It is ideal to rent a motorbike at the place you will stay for about 100,000 -120,000dong per day to get around, otherwise maybe consider hiring a driver to drive around to the sights if you decide to not take the boat tours up and down the rivers. Now, I will say that those boat tours are in general a tourist trap for me and I decided to not take them, but if you have some time and money to spend then go for it. From the reviews, I just gathered that these tours were a bit overrated and of course, sometimes tried to get as much money as they could out of you trying to sell you more things.
*Also, keep mind, the train isn’t as convenient to take to Ninh Binh especially if you decide to stay in the heart of things: Tam Coc because the train station is located in the city of Ninh Binh, which is a 5 to 10 minute taxi drive away and also, the train typically only runs 2 times a day: once in the very early morning and the other early afternoon. That’s why I think the luxury van is the best way to get there because it takes just 2 hours even though other blogs and shit I’ve read said more than that and it will take you to your hotel or nearby to where you stay.

How long to Stay:
-How long should you stay in Ninh Binh in my opinion the best for a relaxing and not a rushed trip would be 2-3 days to see the essential things. The other things I feel is just tourism’s way to really get you to spend more money on the place like them up selling.
It is possibly to just come here during the day and be back in Hanoi by night, but it will feel rushed and I think this is a place best enjoyed with some time to relax and savor the moment especially when looking at this truly spectacular sight known as Mua Caves, which for me is probably one of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful place I’ve ever seen and been to.

So for places to see:
1. Mua Caves
2. Surrounding area of Tam Coc explored by motorbike or walking
3. Bich Dong Pagoda

Where to eat, 3 places:
-Pizza Place, easily hands down the best pizza I’ve had in Asia, which says a lot
-Brewery restaurant
-Nice little local place on the river

Where to stay:
-Tuan Minh Homestay, right in the heart of Tam Coc
just $9-$10 a night for 1 private bedroom with private bathroom, very clean, quiet, and with a free breakfast
Rent motorbike for 120,000 dong per day $5-$6
Laundry depends on how much, I paid around 100,000 dong $5

Total 3 nights 30 +15 +5 = 50 + van x2 = $70 plus food
$5x3 $15 x3 $45 = $50
Total = $100-$120 for whole trip
