Way to the Great Wall:
You can take a taxi or call Didi from the airport and also from the city center of Beijing. If you can't speak Mandarin, it's better to take a taxi.
In Chinese, the name of the Great Wall is "Changcheng".
There are almost 8 sections of the Great Wall.
from the airport, the nearest section is Mutianyu Great Wall, 1.5 hours by road (about 66 km)
and the name of the far section is Jinshanling Great Wall, 2.5 hours by road (about 144 km).

*It takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours to drive straight from Beijing Capital International Airport to the Great Wall, depending on which section of the wall, you'd like to visit.
If you don't have enough time in your hand, I would recommend you to visit the Mutianyu section.

Way to the Mutianyu:
The Mutianyu section of the Great Wall is located about 75 kilometers (45 miles) from Beijing city center, taking almost 2 hours to get there by taxi. You can also get to the Mutianyu section on a tourist bus or with a transfer service included in our Beijing Great Wall tours.

#Mubus (慕巴士) is the best option from Beijing to Mutianyu. It takes only 1.5 hours from Beijing to Mutianyu, and you get ~5 hours on the wall before heading back to the city. The fare is 80RMB, or 60RMB each way if bought separately, but it does not include admission to Mutianyu.
Check its website at http://www.beijingmubus.com
1. Take the subway to Donsishitiao (东四十条) station on line 2
2. Get out from exit C, where you should see the entrance to Swissotel and Hong Kong Macau Center in front of you
3. Walk east on the main road (Workers' Stadium North Road / 工人体育场北路) for about 50 yards and you will arrive at the Mubus departure point at this spot
4. The buses leave every 10 minutes between 7:30am and 8:00am. Be on time
5. The bus takes 1.5 hours and will get to Mutianyu by 9-9:30am. When you get to Mutianyu, the organizer will buy your ticket for you so you don't have to do anything. Just follow the group
6. Make sure you know the location of the returning bus boarding spot. Ask the conductor to show you if you're not sure
7. The return bus leaves at 2:30pm and you get back to Beijing by 4-4:30pm

[If you're short of time, your best bet is to head to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, which is located just 66km drive from the airport. Mutianyu has an amazing toboggan ride, which in itself is enough reason to have a visit.
Alternatively, the Huanghuacheng section of the Great Wall is also located within as easy, short 77km drive. Whilst travel times are dependent on traffic, you should be able to reach either Jiankou section of the Great Wall or Jinshanling section of the Great Wall within 2.5 hours of leaving Beijing Capital International Airport.

If you have a little more time up your sleeve and plan on spending several days in Beijing, you may be interested in touring the Gubeikou section of the Great Wall, which is located 139km from the airport.]
