Let's debunk some myths about Worldpackers experiences!

0:00 | Intro
0:19 | Myth #1: Volunteering is nothing but cheap labour

Volunteering is a cultural experience, it's a different way to do tourism and it should never be perceived as work - this is to safeguard the quality of the experience and also the legality of the process.

1:48 | Myth #2: I won’t learn anything new during my volunteer experience, I’ll just clean, make beds, etc.

There're a lot of different types of hosts, seriously! You can help with receiving guests, taking care of animals, teaching a language, preparing meals, taking photos, gardening, producing content, and much much MUCH more!

2:56 | Myth #3: I won’t have any time to enjoy my holiday while volunteering

You won't be spending all of your time helping out the host. The max amount of hours allowed by us is 32 and the majority of experiences are around 26 hours per week.

4:09 | Myth #4: I can only volunteer on a solo trip, there’s no way I can do it with friends

At Worldpackers, we have a Couples plan for friends and couples who always want to volunteer together. But if you want to do it together and at times alone, the best thing to do is to have 2 separate Solo plans and apply together.

5:00 | Myth #5: You must be young to volunteer
There's no age limit to be on Worldpackers. The hosts set their own restrictions but there is an experience for every age. You can check out the experiences available for your age before buying the plan using our filters.

6:13 | Myth #6: I need to go abroad in order to volunteer
I'm sure there are many amazing experiences in your own country! Put the staycation into practice and let's volunteer

7:09 | Myth #7: I can’t volunteer during short holidays:

With our filters you can search for short time experiences

8:04 | Myth #8: Volunteering isn’t safe

Every host and volunteer leave a review. To guarantee your safety, our team verifies each and every host before approving them to join our community. We also analyze all of our hosts’ reviews left by worldpackers travelers to be sure that mutual collaboration and learning are honored during their exchange.

9:11 | Myth #9: Worldpackers covers all costs for the trip, including flights!
Each traveler is responsible for making their own travel arrangements, payments, and for getting their own travel documents in order.

9:47 | Myth #10: The only benefit of volunteering is to save money
Yes, it is... but is so much more than that! It's about networking, new skills, life experience, hosts you wouldn’t have met otherwise...

Get ready to have unique experiences, develop new skills, and make a positive impact on the world by traveling with Worldpackers!
